The Powkiddy X18S has been announced and is an upgraded version of the previous GPD XD knock-off Powkiddy X18 handheld. Many of us are fans of the clamshell designs for handhelds even if it is ruled by the considerably more popular GPD XD.
PowKiddy isn’t going down without a fight though, if the announcement truly holds up from Taki Udon. Apparently PowKiddy is going to use a similar chipset to the Teclast M40 tablet, or the recently released Alldocube iPlay40. If this x18S comes with a similar chipset, we will have a budget friendly, $200-$300 device that can fully handle GameCube and much more, and current Android games like PubG without any issues.
