- Create a folder called cheats on the root of the USB drive. I usually do it in a folder labeled cheats and they have to be a certain format like [*name of cheat] followed by the gameshark cheat. Then when you load the game hit select and triangle and you have to go to the one that says load PSCX cheat file or whatever and then browse to that directory and load the file for your game. When you do that every code you had in the file is turned ON by default, so go back to the cheats menu to disable certain codes you don’t currently want on. There may be an easier process than this, but that’s all I’ve been able to do to get cheats to work (which is a pain in the butt to be honest... I wanted a big cheat file for FFIX but I’m not going to disable a ton of cheats every time I play so I end up with a cheat file of the top 5 cheats or so. So the question is how can I auto select the cheat file to load for that game (is it by putting the cheat in the same directory or with a specific file name etc) and how can I load a cheat file with everything in the OFF position so I can choose which codes I want on instead of which codes I want off.
